Does our staff have to recreate the funeral program?
No. Staff uploads the final, approved PDF. VirtObits uses that existing file to create the interactive flipbook and associated memorial record.
When is the QR code created?
After the PDF is accepted and the memorial record is created. The QR points to a permanent VirtObits scan URL, not directly to a temporary third-party flipbook address.
How does the fabricator receive the QR code?
The portal prepares a fulfillment package with the engraving-ready QR file, order ID, selected plate, delivery address, and partner reference. Initially, VirtObits can review and send each order before this step is automated.
Who receives the finished memorial plate?
The funeral home can select delivery to its location for presentation to the family, or direct shipment to the family when the fabricator supports it.
Can the memorial link be changed after the plate is made?
Yes. Because the QR uses a VirtObits-controlled redirect, the destination can change without replacing or re-engraving the plate.
